What Makes us Tick-Thoughts from a SERVPRO Employee

“I know this isn’t our relationship, but I just have to say I love you and thank you!” I busted out laughing and replied “I’ve never had a customer say that to me, but I’m so glad we are able to help you!”
When you think about WHY you do what you do, what makes you tick, what comes to mind? For me it’s helping people. Not many people really go into the restoration industry on purpose. For most of us it was the job that was available at the time we needed it. But for those of us who stick around, we are here because we like helping people, making a difference in their life when they don’t even know who to turn to.
The entire SERVPRO community lives by this creed, the notion of always being available to help families and communities in need. I’ve seen this time and again, even within our own community. A few years ago there was immense damage to a local SERVPRO office and to their employee homes during a hurricane. Those team members all gathered to help their community first. As a team SERVPRO’s from across the country came together to help that location get back on its feet. From sending crews down to the area to help the community to making donations so they could rebuild their office, we made sure that they knew they are part of our SERVPRO family.
The customer I quoted in the opening is someone who used our services years ago. When confronted with a loss in his daughter's home he knew he needed to call us to help ease their fears and give him the right info. We were there for him 16 years ago, and we are there for him now.
So when you find yourself asking WHY should I choose SERVPRO to help me in my time of need, know that it’s because we care. We care about our employees, our communities, and most of all, we care about YOU, our customer. Our priority is getting you back to your life and making your disaster “Like it never even happened.”
